Carlos Mejía

Executive Director, Oxfam Colombia

Carlos Esteban Mejía Solano is the executive director of Oxfam Colombia. He is the former humanitarian director for Oxfam America and was a senior program officer for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. He has worked as a consultant and trainer for several organizations, including the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation, the Institute of International Humanitarian Affairs, Doctors without Borders, and the Jesuit Relief Service (JRS). Projects for JRS included developing a rapid response system, supporting the agency’s response to the Syria crisis, directing aid operations in Somaliland, designing an educational tool, and engaging in strategic planning.
