Hana Ivanhoe is an attorney with over 12 years of policy research and advocacy expertise in business and human rights, corporate responsibility, and sustainable supply chains (with an emphasis on both the food and tech sectors).

Ivanhoe is currently a lecturer at Berkeley Law (University of California, Berkeley) where she teaches Anticorruption Compliance among other courses, and a consultant for global nonprofit organizations working in the area of business and human rights. Prior to joining Oxfam America in her current role as Advocacy and Campaign Manager for the Private Sector Department, her recent consulting projects included industry research and writing in connection with Oxfam’s Behind the Barcodes campaign, supporting Business for Social Responsibility in the conduct of a corporate human rights assessment and engaging with and advising the tech industry on conflict sensitive approaches to responsible technology on behalf of JustPeace Labs.

Ivanhoe has worked on matters of sustainable trade and development from both the public and private sector perspectives. Prior to consulting, Ivanhoe was an Advocacy Manager with global nonprofit organization, Fairfood International where she co-founded Fairfood’s North American office and spearheaded the organization’s advocacy toward North American brand owning companies in the food and beverage sector.

Before joining Fairfood, Ivanhoe advised corporate clients on matters of anti- corruption, international trade compliance and cross-border commercial transactions as an attorney with Baker & McKenzie LLP in its San Francisco, California office.

Ivanhoe has a Juris Doctor from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley. While at Berkeley Law, she was co-Editor in Chief of the Berkeley Journal of International Law and served on the International Human Rights Law Clinic. She has been a member of the California State Bar Association since 2008.
