Jackson Gandour
Senior Policy Advisor for Economic and Racial Justice
Jackson Gandour is the senior policy advisor for economic and racial justice at Oxfam America. His work focuses on advancing tax justice and reducing economic inequalities, with a focus on the United States.
Jackson joined Oxfam in 2024. Prior to joining Oxfam, he was an adjunct professor and research scholar at New York University School of Law, where he taught economic and social rights and researched the human rights impacts of the privatization of public services. He also previously worked at Human Rights Watch, where he investigated the rights impacts of defunding public housing in the US.
Jackson graduated with highest distinction from Indiana University Bloomington, with degrees in philosophy and media production. He graduated magna cum laude from New York University School of Law, where he was a scholar at the Institute for International Law and Justice.
