Karelia Pallan is a media officer at Oxfam America, where she leads the media relations and communications of the climate campaign. She previously worked as the director of communications at Holy Trinity Catholic Church and studied journalism and mass communication at George Washington University’s School of Media and Public Affairs.

Born in Mexico and now a citizen of the US, Karelia enjoys connecting with Washington’s international and migrant community by volunteering on the board of directors and serving as CFO of KAMA DC, a grassroots nonprofit that provides a platform for immigrants to share their skills and stories.
